CODUS Food Consulting is ran by Chelsea Tyus, Ph.D. who has a wealth of knowledge on food manufacturing and technical services. She has worked in the food industry 10 years as a lab technician, quality assurance technician, regulatory specialist, research/teaching assistant and, quality assurance manager. Her specialty is sauces, spices, breading, batters, and plant based foods.
Chelsea also has extensive experience in co-packer relationships including product formulation, relaying quality expectations, auditing and trouble shooting. Chelsea excels at audit preparation for SQF and BRC certifications. She also provides internal auditor, HACCP, and Preventative Control consulting.
Finally, Chelsea has practical knowledge in customer service, generating nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, nutrient claims, serving sizes, using/training others in genesis software, allergen statements, product specification sheets, supplier questionnaires, etc.
